Stazione Porta Garibaldi

Milano

The Milan Porta Garibaldi railway station is the main national network of Centostazioni S.p.A., the first of Milan’s city for commuter traffic.

It is located in the heart of the modern district of Garibaldi-Repubblica, and has been positively affected by important urban renewal interventions by the City of Milan.

It is the primary railway hub for short and long distance rail links, such as Alta Velocità, the most popular high speed lines of the Milan Metro, the Passante Ferroviario, urban and extra urban buses, as well as for many road connections.

Thanks to the important restyling and enhancement work recently carried out by Centostazioni, co-financed by Italian Rail Network (FS Italian Group), the station, accessible by Piazza Sigmund Freud, is a multifunctional pole collecting tens of thousands of citizens, travelers and tourists in the heart of Milan every day.

The intervention involved extraordinary maintenance and adaptation of platforms and shelters of platform 7, between platforms 12-13, and platform 8 between platforms 14-15.
